OK, so how is the course delivered?
ASSI has been delivering quality training for many years and we, like all training organisations, were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic which led us to adjust our training schedule and with the assistance of police and government licensing agencies we have been authorised to deliver the course in the form of online units and practical components by way of customised assignments you conduct in the field.
The Certificate III in Investigative Service course consists of two learning phases. The 16 online units of competency can be completed online at your own pace and the practical sessions completed in your own environment and including live streaming video-based assignments.
The live streaming assignments are unique, for example in the units of competency CPPINV 3033 Conduct Covert Surveillance Operations and CPPINV3034 Organise and Operate a Surveillance Vehicle. You will review the online training material and our tutoring surveillance video to lead into live streaming your actions to demonstrate how to setup a surveillance vehicle, then carrying out a mock surveillance investigation.
The online units are a mixture of downloadable assignments with which you receive comprehensive feedback, guidance and explanations at a level and standard you will not encounter elsewhere..
To complete the course
You pay in two instalments. To start the course anytime, simply select the 'Online Unit Access' in the enrolment form and you will have access to your units within 24-48 hours
You only pay $900 for now and then when you are ready to complete the practical sessions simply enrol in that component and pay the balance of $ 695.
Once enrolled you still receive the training manuals and access to the student-training interface and be able to commence your training immediately.
What will I learn?
You will learn about information and evidence gathering. You will learn how to interview people and take statements. You will carry out a real covert surveillance assignment learning discreet photography and surveillance skills. It's the most useful and efficient way to understand how an investigation is conducted. It gives you a head-start over others, .
What if I already have some experience in customer service or problem solving or dealing with people in my past or current employment?
If you have a good extent of customer relations experience or a law enforcement background, or you have worked closely with people in an environment where you are problem solving and talking formally to people, or you have an IT, sales or customer service background, then the time to complete the online assignments may be reduced by way of RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) principles in some cases.
Upon enrolment we would like you to provide us your CV or an outline of your past experience and we will take this into consideration to determine the volume of learning required to complete the course.
We are confident that the learning style we use offer will result in you gaining the experience to work as a professional investigator in an exciting and diverse industry more exciting than anything you have experienced before.
